Isolation
Collaboration
It’s that time of year
Isolation
Collaboration
Let’s all have a beer
What you gonna do when you’re stuck at home?
You’re not motivated to put your trousers on
You wanna go out but you need to isolate
What you gotta do is create

This is what it's like when the mask slips
This is what it's like to feel empty
This is what it's like when the truth hits
This is what it's like to personify apathy
And I'm tired of pretending
That I want to go back
To the normal before this
When we knew how to act
Cigarettes burn out in the ashtray
A crude metaphor for our wasted lives
All of time has merged into one day
Suspending us above a bed of knives
And I'm tired of pretending
That I want to go back
To the normal before this
When we knew how to act

Little acts cause big things if you let it be a big thing
It’s an addiction
You’re in a bad place
It’s a lightbulb in the dark if you’re led along with these things
Infatuation
Leading to a big stink
The idiot’s tired
Walking up and down the hallway
Pacing back and forth with the lights out
Disappearing when the light’s on
And you’ll see
And you’ll see
If you let it be a big thing
And you’ll see
And you’ll see
And you’ll see
Little acts cause big things if you let it be a big thing
Inspiration
Put you on a good face

More than a year has passed since our breakup in Cambridge
You didn’t keep your promise to check in after a month
You didn’t see it necessary to answer my email
And it didn’t occur to you to reach out in any way since then
I have also learned recently that you didn’t hesitate to throw away
The possessions I left at your place without asking me
I’m disappointed and angry
But mostly I pity you
You had so many chances to make this right
And act like a decent human being
But you’re a selfish spineless bitch
In retrospect I can say
I’ve never met anyone more numb
And emotionally dead than you
I hope that life will give you what you deserve
Fuck you
I’m so angry
Yeah I’m angrier than you
Don’t understand me
That’s cos I’m angrier than you
I’m so angry
Yeah I’m angrier than you
Don’t understand me
That’s cos I’m angry
Anna, I don’t think you and I don’t speak the same language
It don’t matter if I tried to iframe this short url code
I don’t know why if I gave you my log in credentials
You didn’t try yourself so you don’t have to ask me
If I gave you my log in it’s because I’m asking you to go and try for yourself
This getting ridiculous
Do as you are asked
Don’t get half pregnant
You’re either pregnant or not
Do a complete job
That’s what you get payed for
Muchas gracias por la invitacion pero no voy a asistir a esa reunion, ya que he decidido dejar el trabajo / Thanks a lot for the invitation but I am not going to attend that meeting as I have decided to quit my job.
Estoy arta del mal ambiente que habeis creado en la oficina hasta el punto en que se ha echo imposible trabajar alli / I am exhausted by the awful atmosphere you have created in the office, to the point where you’ve made it impossible to work there.
Espero que pareis esta locura pronto y que os deis cuenta de vuestros errores / I hope you stop this madness soon and realise your own mistakes. That’s all from me.
Hasta la vista! / See ya!

Liam Taylor - Soap

Let’s see if we can explain it
You and I have a coat of armour
That protects our bodies from the outside world
It’s our skin
We wash it with soap and water, why?
Well there’s a special reason
Look at your skin through a magnifying glass
It looks like it’s full of tiny holes doesn’t it?
These holes are called pores
But did you know that you really have two skins?
The one you see is the outer skin
It’s the toughest part of this coat of armour
Underneath it is another layer, the inner skin
Underneath this is a layer of fat
In this fatty layer are sweat glands
Lots of them all over your body
There are special kinds of sweat glands under your arms
And other parts of your skin
These glands have little ducts to carry the sweat or perspiration
To the outside air
Most of the time the sweat dries as fast as it comes out
But sometimes it collects into little drops
The air dries this sweat and that’s what helps you keep cool
Every hair grows from a tiny root
These roots are in the fatty layer too
Around the hairs and other parts of the skin are oil glands
They open on the outer skin like the sweat glands
These openings are some of the pores you can see in your skin
The oil made in these glands spreads over your skin
And helps to keep it soft
When you get dirty, the dirt sticks in this oil
Germs do too, you can’t get them off with plain water
To get off this mixture of oil dirt and germs
You have to use soap

Scatterchild - Monument
03:57
|
|||
Sudden and wasteful
Shadows converge in the sun
Eager replacements
Turning tail on everyone
We’re stuck inside
We’re stuck inside
But let’s stick together
We walked for hours
At the top there was a monument
We climbed and stared
And saw only what was naked and dead
And it was beautiful
And it ended

Isolate, isolate, please, please
We gotta regulate
The air that we breath
Here we are in the year 2020
Where shelves are stocked
Toilet paper’s a plenty
I’m making my way
To a new paradise
Holing myself up
With kilos of rice
PM talks and it causes a storm
I’m at home with bundles of porn
Can’t decide what to watch on a Saturday night
Worldwide shortages causing a fright
Tell me if you wanna walk where the sun still shines
Unmandated contact is a crime
If you wanna have a ball
Baby you can have a ball
Spend the whole day on your games console
Viruses spreading
No sign of stopping
Half of the world’s playing animal crossing
Homeschooled children
Zoom yoga classes
Rich folk don’t know
Their mouths from the arses
I’m real close to injecting disinfectant
BoJo’s latest misses is expecting
Proper funded healthcare
Mate I beg your pardon?
Let’s just get a pensioner to walk around his garden
If you wanna walk where the sun still shines
Unmandated contact is a crime
Wanna close my eyes and cry in pain
Will Greta ever go to school again?

I’ve come to my senses
Realised what is what
Now I know who I am
Though I don’t know what’s to come
But you
Little you
You won’t have
Any of that
Decisions led to heartbreak
I still feel the pain
The blame was never mine to bear
It’s time you feel its weight
Just stay away
I won’t play your game
You know you’re no different
Though you act like a star
You came saw and took
Didn’t care at what price
But now
Time is up
To collect
What was mine
Decisions led to heartbreak
I still feel the pain
The blame was never mine to bear
It’s time you feel its weight
Just stay away
I won’t play your game
Just stay away
I won’t play your game

“My idea is let’s all collaborate and make some music, a covid-19 EP…
A umm, a collabavirus, if you can conceive of such a thing”
Isolation
Isolation
Tell me what you mean
No silence now
No empty hum
We drown you out
We drown you out
